Traffic in both directions on the Danube Bridge at Ruse will be restored on December 20th
On Friday, December 20th, around 1 p.m. (13:00), traffic will reopen in both directions on the repaired section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse. The rehabilitation of the first 413 meters of the lane heading towards Bulgaria will be completed, ensuring unrestricted passage for all types of vehicles during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. This will provide commuters with a faster and more comfortable crossing of the facility.
Starting from January 8th, 2025, the major repair work on the bridge will resume with the closure of 413-meter long section in the lane towards Romania.
As up to now, the major renovation on the Danube Bridge will continue without any disruption of traffic and the facility will not be shut down. The site will be worked on daily during daylight hours, depending on the weather conditions. The work process will be organized and carried out in such a way that vehicles pass in stages in a reversible manner in the lane which is not under construction.
