All Мotorhomes Now Pay an e-Vignette Rather than a Toll

From 13 February, all motorhomes, regardless of their total technically permissible maximum weight, will pay an electronic vignette. Until now, if M1 camping vehicles were less than 3.5 tonnes, they had to have a vignette, and if they were over 3.5 tonnes they had to pay a toll. Pursuant to the amendments and additions to the Road Act, promulgated by SG issue 13 of 13 February 2024, camping vehicles of category M1, indicated in the registration certificate of the road vehicle, are now subject to a vignette fee, regardless of their total technical permissible maximum weight.

We would like to remind you that the prices of electronic vignettes for cars up to 3.5 tonnes, as well as for trailers or caravans attached to them, will remain unchanged in 2024. The annual fee is BGN 87, the quarterly fee is BGN 48, the monthly fee is BGN 27 and the weekly fee is BGN 13. The price of the weekend vignette is unchanged - BGN 9.

A separate e-vignette for a trailer or caravan is only purchased if their total weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes when attached to the car. The electronic vignette for the car and the trailer/caravan can be of different duration according to the need. For example, the vignette for a car may be annual, while for a trailer or caravan it may be monthly, weekly or of another duration depending on the driver's preference.

The National Toll Administration appeals to the users to use the website www.bgtoll.bg or the mobile application when buying an e-vignette, as well as the other sales channels of the RIA - at the counter for payment in cash or through a self-checkout terminal - with a card. The counters are located at the main border crossing points as well as in the 27 district road offices throughout the country. There are 461 self-checkout terminals. Electronic vignettes can also be purchased from the partner network of the Road Infrastructure Agency via the websites www.vinetki.bg, www.tollpass.bg, www.digitoll.bg, www.yettel.bg, www.A1.bg, www.vivacom.bg, www.grabo.bg, www.my.fibank.bg www.spotins.bg as well as at cash desks in A1, Yettel, Vivacom, Bulgarian Post, Easy Pay, Fast Pay, Snepla, IQ Group, Bul 07, Vidin Ins, KN Vratsa, Fargo Invest Group, Kolhida 3b, Locator BG, Montana Ins, NIA Group 87, PS Consulting, Vassileva & Rangelov, GN Consulting, and in the gas stations Lukoil, Petrol, OMV, ECO, Kruiz, Benita, Gazprom, Rompetrol, Shell, Insa Oil, ViEm Petrolium, Power Oil, service centers Tahoe Venzi, insurance brokers I&G Insurance Brokers, Omnikar & Partners, General Broker, Vidin Ins or through the mobile applications UBB , TollPass, Phyre and Amarant Bulgaria.

When purchasing an e-vignette, users need to carefully review and verify the information entered by them or the relevant officer before confirming the final payment for the e-vignette. It is the responsibility of the owner or user to fill in the correct information about the vehicle number, its category and the period of validity of the vignette. In case of incorrect declaration of data, it is considered that the due fee for the respective vehicle has not been paid.

The entry of the characters of the registration number may be in Cyrillic or Latin characters, but shall correspond to the characters of the registration number itself. When entering a number, enter only letters and numbers. The symbols 0 (zero) and O (letter O) are not interchangeable. For a digit of the number you should write 0 (zero), and for a letter O. If the registration number contains a dash, dot or space, these shall not be entered.
